The 38.40-meter long  FiRP^® Glulam beams are doubled to carry the heavy loads.  Three layers of FARP (Fiberglass-Aramid Reinforced Plastic) were necessary to carry the positive moment at mid-span and the negative moment over the posts.  The maximum length of the reinforcement is 10 m.

The FiRP^® Glulam beams were fabricated by ZÖLLIG AG in Arbon, a member of the HÄRING Group, Pratteln, Switzerland.  The structure was erected in February 2001.
